What this level is designed to teach
Little Creators is the proposed programme for 6–8 years, with 50–60 minutes guided sessions. Teaching priorities: Visual storytelling, characters, first blocks, LED patterns. By the end, the learner should be able to present a project such as interactive story; 2-scene game; led pattern, and explain at least one problem they solved.
Eight-session progression and evidence
| Week | Theme | Age-appropriate deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Imagine and start | Choose character and draw story |
| 2 | Build the world/interface | Place background, two scenes and finish |
| 3 | Control and response | Use one tap or large-button event |
| 4 | Rules and objectives | Add a visible goal and restart with help |
| 5 | Feedback and accessibility | Try picture/audio feedback and take a break |
| 6 | Find and fix defects | Explain a surprise; ask adult for one repair |
| 7 | Prepare a version | Save a local project and practise private demo |
| 8 | Private showcase | Share story or LED pattern with approved guest |
Allowed tools and safety boundaries
ScratchJr or supported facilitated Scratch, visual cards and preassembled LED demonstration. No independent account, soldering, unmoderated AI or unsupervised robotics.
Finished project acceptance
- Runnability on the approved workshop device.
- An original child-made idea or improvement that the learner can explain.
- At least one recorded or explained test, including what was expected.
- One adjustment made because of feedback or a defect.
- Local safe project packaging and only opt-in guardian-approved private sharing.
Facilitator and guardian notes
Age is a default placement guide, not a test of worth or ability. The host and parent can choose accommodations, quiet presentation and slower pace. A workshop is not independent childcare, a credit-bearing qualification or a commercial data contribution. The original blueprint is a proposal: there are no confirmed dates, named registered students or verified screening outcomes to publish.
Build with the Building Truss Grid
Begin with a guided digital Building Truss Grid activity: recognize square beams, round connector holes and cylindrical pegs, explore a 3D view, connect a few pieces and explain one successful fit.
These are proposed supervised lessons linked to the evolving application, not proof of an available public app or scheduled workshop. Explore BTG Builder's full engineering design and current release status →
