Parent and guardian handbook

What families need to know before a future youth workshop enrolment, including supervision, privacy, access and child project ownership.

Edition 2.0 · 23 October 2026 · Educational/public explanatory documentation · No public investment offering or approval claimed

What your child will do

Children choose a safe creation and learn by making, testing and improving it. There are four starting age levels from 6 through 17 and tracks for video games, apps, beginner robotics and useful inventions. There is no requirement to own a computer or paid software for the proposed partner-equipment pilot.

Before enrolment, a family should be given

  1. The host’s legal/operator identity and approved contact points.
  2. Confirmed venue, dates, pickup/drop-off and supervision arrangements.
  3. Screened volunteer and incident response details appropriate to host policy.
  4. Accessibility, support and food/allergy arrangements.
  5. The privacy notice and retention plan, with separate optional media and project-sharing consent.
  6. Any actual published fee or bursary arrangement (the existing budget is a planning estimate only).

Common questions

Is this a confirmed enrolment programme?

Not yet. The recovered blueprint is a proposal dated 22 October 2026. No host, dates, completed screenings, insurance or active registration should be inferred.

Will photos be posted on social media?

Not by default. Photo/video consent must be separate and voluntary, and participants can choose a private demo without recording.

What if my child needs additional support?

Discuss support needs with the actual host contact before enrolment. The proposal includes short instruction blocks, breaks, adaptable materials, quiet corners and alternative input devices.
