Evidence Operations

Evidence operations preserve exact artifacts, source/context and the scope of the claim being supported.

Ingest

1. Identify source/witness.
2. Record media/type and acquisition context.
3. Compute and retain content hash.
4. Store or content-address the artifact.
5. Link it to the specific claim/object/event it supports.
6. Record attestation where an identified witness/authority makes a statement.

Verify

Check bytes/hash, attestation signature and authority separately. Then assess whether the evidence actually supports the claim. Do not turn “hash matches” into “claim is true.”

Contrary evidence

Retain conflicting evidence and record the later decision/supersession rather than deleting the earlier record.

BTDU

BTDU ingestion attaches evidence objects to governed objects and preserves exact-content SHA-256. Use reconstruction tests to verify that exact content remains recoverable.
