Economic model
Non-rival Data
Data is economically unusual because giving another party a copy does not necessarily deprive the source holder of the same bytes. ENTITY therefore models scarcity primarily in rights and entitlements rather than pretending every copy is a unique physical object.
Scarce dimensions
- Who may access or query.
- What purpose is permitted.
- Whether AI training or derivation is allowed.
- Exclusivity or field-of-use.
- Duration, quantity, capacity or geography.
- Redistribution or sublicensing.
- Revenue/derivative participation.
Why this matters
A market for data rights can support repeat licensing, subscriptions, usage-based access and derivatives without requiring artificial byte scarcity or a mandatory protocol token.
